About me
I love teaching makers how to sew and make things that are beautiful, comfortable to wear and last for years.
I also love helping participants work with used clothing to transform the fabric of an already made garment into something new. Recycling fabrics prevents garments from being landfilled. The work of growing the cotton or flax or whatever materials the fabric is made from, is already done, so a new garment made of recycled materials is made using no additional resources. That makes recycled fabrics the most sustainable fabric to use for any sewing project!
And last but not least I love helping makers make Hi-Vis SafeWear to help them be safe in the streets. It just takes a bit of reflective vinyl to catch the car headlights and make you visible in the night streets when you are walking, riding a bike or a scooter.
